As a wholesale water commission, United Water Partnership can only sell water to member communities or water districts. The Board of Directors of the Commission consists of one appointed and one alternate delegate from each of the member entities.

Membership Funding
Federal rural development funds and State Community Development Block Grants are often available to support the pursuit of sustainable water supply solutions. Additional funding sources may include private bonds and financing.

United Water Partnership is a viable solution for communities who are struggling to find a sustainable and safe water source, who have struggled finding certified staff or maintaining regulatory compliance or cannot afford to maintain and/or expand their current system.
Every member receives a seat on the board as well as an alternate, which means you have a voice and a vote.
This is an established, operating water system paid for by existing tax dollars.
Joining United Water Partnership eliminates the cost of building a new plant as well as costs such as staffing, utilities, taxes, debt service, etc. – all which will raise water rates.
By becoming a member of the Partnership, communities gain an affordable, sustainable water source to help retain current residents and businesses as well as provide growth opportunities to attract future residents and businesses.
Well water is not a sustainable solution, as this supply is becoming depleted. The United Water Partnership is sourced by the alluvium of the Missouri River, the second largest river in North America, providing for long-term supply sustainability. Joining the Partnership is more affordable than digging additional wells.
There are federal rural development funds and State Community Development Block Grants that may be available to support the pursuit of sustainable water supply solutions. United Water Partnership helps members find funding solutions, which differ depending on each communities’ unique situation and position.
